4 Question: Can I use my existing terminal equipment?

Answer:

Yes, compatible terminals owned by merchants can be used with our processor.  We can download new software to your terminal quickly and easily using your terminal's built in modem.

Older terminals have built in dial-up modems.  Newer terminals may have either high speed broad band or dial-up modems or both.  Some extremely old terminals may be obsolete and may not work with the advanced processing technology being used by our processor.

To determine if your existing terminal is compatible, Contact Us and provide us with the terminal manufacture's name and model description.

7 Question:  What equipment should my business use to process credit cards and checks?

Answer:

The choice of terminals or other processing systems is entirely dependent upon your type of business, your equipment budget and your transaction volume, etc.

If you have a very busy retail business, you'll want to use an advanced technology POS terminal such as the VeriFone Omni 3750 or a PC computer with either our Virtual Terminal or PC Charge Pro software.  These POS terminal solutions provide two primary advantages, plus a host of others:

  • Preferred processing fees with swiped cards. This can save you as much as 30% of the cost of transaction fees.
  • Improved customer service expedited by the efficiency of a faster POS terminal's response time of approximately 4 seconds or less.

If your business is not as busy or you don't want to invest as much money on equipment, or you conduct a lot of business over the phone and with mail order, then our Virtual Terminal services may be just as effective for you.

In our check services arena, these terminal solutions can be used for;

  • Visa POS Check service that converts checks to electronic items at the point of sale
  • Check guarantee services
  • Check Verification Services
